Right, Dr., thinking about your teaching — what's one foundational concept in multimedia or AI in media that you find especially rewarding to teach in a classroom setting?

My professional experience begin with the Sikander Swami Naidu College of Arts and Science as Assistant Professor over 2 years. And later, uh. I joined in uh. University. For about an year there. On the Tagore College of Arts and Science, there have. Was working for a year. On the uh. It's the NB Vaishnava College. They have worked as an assistant professor. In Department of Computer Science and Application for an year. And Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science in the department of MCAPG. For about uh. 200. So currently I'm working in JPR university.

Like more than a PG. It was very easy while handling not. Easy. It is challenging while handling postgraduate students. But all the undergraduate students. Especially when working in the government. Like travel or university under the government institution it was. Quite challenging to handle the students and the classes. That is also PD MSC Computer Science. That was a little challenging to increase them to get placed. And to teach them what is research and doing additional Cosmo courses. All this educating them. From the basic one to the code is quite challenging and I made it. Successfully.

That's helpful. When you were guiding those students from basics up to research and placements, what specific strategies did you use to motivate or engage those who were struggling with core concepts?

About to tease them. What are all the additional methods and methodologies? They can handle, uh, they can use to develop themselves. And apart from that, I I take special care for those students who. Who lack in basic. Uh, knowledge about about. Computers names program.

Concepts. So additional care is needed for them other than that. Uh, special materials special, uh, that too. That was a corona period. I, I was. Handling both offline and online classes. For them they were. Online but. I I was. There to and fro, offline and online. And I'm I provided them both offline materials and online with. Materials for those, uh. Students who need special care.

Dr., I noticed your PhD thesis is titled “Analysis of Animal Species Behavior Identification and Monitoring Using IoT and Region Based Convolution Neural Network (RCNN) With Fish Swarm Optimization.” Can you walk me through a moment when you had to present this research to a non-specialist audience, such as undergraduate students, and how you made the core ideas accessible to them?

Given your work in computer science and AI, where do you see the most fundable research directions over the next three years? What kinds of grants or external partnerships would you target to support your agenda?

That's clear, and I appreciate how you adapted during the pandemic with both online and offline support. You mentioned special materials and extra attention for students lacking basics—how did you measure whether those interventions were effective, especially for students who were the furthest behind?

Right, thanks for clarifying. Let's shift focus a bit — considering your publication record in computer science and AI, how would you go about building a research group around your main area, and what kinds of funding or external partnerships do you think are most realistic to pursue?

Focusing on funded projects. Like student based funded projects so I get ideas from students. And even my ideas I communicate to the students so that the students should develop themselves through the funded projects. Like MSME projects? So various even Google is. Conducting UH. Student based projects to be uploaded, I guide them, I mentor them to develop. So my area of. Interest for project is also. I am focusing on TNSC. Projects. So I have to propose project proposals, I have to give project proposals to develop my ideas also. So I encourage both the students for this funded projects like they start up projects of funded projects where ideas has to be uploaded. And I I am also working on various funded projects like ideas. Uh, on my research has to be. Developed as projects.

Given your background with both postgraduate and undergraduate students, suppose you had to teach a large introductory AI course with 200 students and you couldn't use slides or traditional lectures. What specific methods would you use to keep everyone engaged and make sure the material actually sticks?

So it is not like what way I prefer like. Both traditional lecturing and slide. Slide is also important so that the students view it. Instead of taking one hour of. Or two hour of lecturing. So a pictorial way of representation, a video representation, a slide based representation, everything is very important. Interactive session. And uh. Lecturing is also very important so that I communicate everything through my vocal. Uh, things so that I cloud it. I clarify the students and the strength is not a matter here. Even 100 students or 200 students, what they communicate is the main. Think and I'm ready to take it.

Accreditation cycles can be demanding — if you joined our department and found that outcome assessment data was inconsistent across courses, how would you approach fixing that?

I don't think the 80s are very reputed institution. Most probably there won't be any issue in that outcome. Even if. I find. Like it is out of any small. Correction has to be needed. I would be very.

Professor, imagine a situation where a student formally complains that your grading was biased, but at the same time, your department head is pushing you to increase pass rates. How would you handle that tension while maintaining both academic integrity and good standing with your department head?

Let's talk about connecting academic work to real-world outcomes. Given your expertise in multimedia and AI, do you have any established industry collaborations or contacts that help your students secure internships or work on applied projects?

Yes, of course, because even in undergraduate it is very necessary to do their internship and projects. Nowadays. So. The students. In spite of what they study. Uh, all the courses, not only computers, it's all the courses needs internships and product. Projects. So I have communication to various companies and I do communicate with them personally and professionally. Like personally, it's not. Person it is only for the students sake. And I have a rapport with UH-23 companies. Uh, I communicate with them.
