So you mentioned you're currently working as an Assistant Professor after finishing your PhD in 2020. What's one foundational concept in your subject area that you most enjoy teaching to undergraduates?

Right, Dr., thanks for that overview. What's one foundational concept in your subject area that you most enjoy teaching to undergraduates?

So basically, I enjoy teaching computer networks. Uh teaching through the undergraduate students here.

Computer networks is a broad area—what's a specific example of how you make a tricky networking concept accessible for your students?

I explained OSA models.

To the students, which is basically important to understand the in depth of. Computer networks. Concepts. In their studies. Uh, I also. Teach how the networks are connected. Add true topologies.

Dr., I noticed your PhD thesis focused on "Soil classification using image processing with divergent algorithmic approach." Can you tell me about a time you had to simplify that research for your undergraduate students or a non-specialist audience?

That's pretty high-level—can you give me a concrete example of how you took a complex idea from your soil classification research and made it understandable for students who aren't specialists in AI or image processing?

Soil Classification. Basically.

Okay, "Soil Classification" is the domain, but what I'm after is—can you give me a moment from your teaching where you took, say, the use of divergent algorithms in your thesis and explained it in simple terms for students who'd never seen AI before?

Dr., given your research in image processing and AI, where do you see the most fundable research directions over the next three years? What types of grants or funding agencies would you specifically target to sustain and grow your lab?

Image processing basically needs someone who. Generates. Uh, the technical concepts, uh, using, uh, generator AI. So I've done my research on soil classification. Using image processing we have where. Some divergent algorithmic approach. Uh, we came to know that, uh, different. Types of cross. Crops grow on different.

Okay, so you mentioned divergent algorithms and linking soil data to crop types. What's your plan for building a research group around this—how would you attract collaborators or students, and what do you see as the biggest challenge in getting external funding for this area?

Better yield with the. A specific soil criteria AAA model will help to. Develop a sustainable model which can predict. A type of crop going to a type of soil matching which can have a significant. Uh, impact on the farmers right now who are dealing with. A different, uh, challenges. It may be climatic conditions. It may be a water crisis.

Given your background, suppose you're teaching a large undergraduate computer networks class at VIT University, but you can't use slides or traditional lectures. How would you structure a session to keep 200 students actively engaged and really learning the material?

Yes Sir, I can use. ICT tools or ALM? Models Active learning methodology. To engage all the students. Uh, who want to actively learn computer?

Accreditation cycles can be demanding — if you joined our department and found that outcome assessment data was inconsistent across courses, how would you approach fixing that?

With the project based learning. That could help. Students to overcome all this. Inconsistency across the courses. Each courses can be given a project. Uh, based on the real time, uh, case studies.

Imagine this situation: a student formally complains that your grading was biased, but at the same time your department head is urging you to increase pass rates. How would you handle that tension, balancing fairness with institutional pressure?

So we have. Key for each the questions which we posed. In the question paper. Based on the keys, we will be evaluating the answer scripts. So upon the insistence. By the department head. Uh, we'll assist accordingly, uh, with the key. Given to the students.

Professor, given your grounding in both AI and multimedia, do you have any current or past industry connections that could help your students secure internships or placements relevant to emerging technology fields?

I I don't have any past industry experience but I have a lot of research experience as I have done a full time PhD in VAT Vellore. I I have a lot of connections with the researchers abroad. I can get them an internship. Uh, through uh. The active research.

Right, let's shift gears to your core teaching skills. Imagine you're leading a lab session for undergraduates—how do you ensure that students with weaker backgrounds can follow along and actually learn the experimental concepts, not just complete the steps?

It's actually involving in lab session teaching. Uh basically starts from the fundamentals, so I'll go through the fundamentals for each and every students. Uh, personally. Uh, getting into the lab sessions, uh, once I start, uh, teaching, uh, experiment. Then I go. With the intermediate, how how that can be implemented in the lab sessions if they if I found any students struggling with intermediate? Steps. Uh, to. Get the concepts into the coding part or implementation I'd. I focus on those students. To uh, give an online resources or uh. Personally involved teaching them. The concepts which I thought in the class.

Personally, I don't have anything to ask about the role of the team. Basically, I know what are the system existing in VAT Builder because I was alumni there. I like the campus very much and the administration there. It is a world class. University which I would like to. Work with. Provide the support. Uh, to grow the university. Uh, to a Topper rank. Uh, that what that is. I'm much interested in me to work in that esteemed university.
